This 4 Bedroom country cottage in Bhimtal is a colonial styled wooden cottage in Jungaliagaon a small village located 6000 ft above sea level and 9 kms uphill from Bhimtal. It offers 4 en-suite rooms to its guests and is spread over an acre and is surrounded by heavily wooded forests on one side and the valley on the other. It is an excellent place if you're looking for a break and some serious rest and relaxation. Set in the Kumaon hills, it is a very functional and neatly done up homely place.
The place offers serenity and tranquility one yearns for away from the urban jungle. You get a chance to be at one with nature while sampling the comforts of your home, and end up finding the most coveted and elusive commodities - peace, along with the promise of warmth and personal attention.
The cottage houses one pet dog - Rusi, cows, hens and fishes. Visits from the exotic birds & butterflies are a familiar occurrence.The vast open spaces are ideal for your pet and special meals are cooked on request to pamper them.
A place where run-ins with the wild is a daily occurrence. Farming is the way of life. Lazing, reading, bird watching, cycling is a favorite pastime.
It is easily reached by a late afternoon or an overnight train from Delhi to Kathgodam and from there an hour's cab ride from Kathgodam. The place has a terrific view of the valley and while I say good for rest and relaxation, it does not mean there's no activity possible. Long leisurely walks, bicycle rides or a drive (through hired cabs) to nearby places of interest like Saat-taal, Nainital, Naukuchyatal and of course Bhim taal are possible. Food is pure home cooked by the two in-house lads.. Lalit and Kailash.. who add in that subtle Kumaoni flavour to the meal...
