The cottage is built on two separate floors with a total covered area of around 3400 sq.ft. The main floor has an independent entry and houses a living area, dinning and a kitchen. The steps from the living area take you down towards the three large bedrooms, which have offer a breath-taking views of the majestic Himalayas. All the bedrooms are built in keeping the modern day traveller in mind, with an attached dressing & bathroom. The 8 feet wide window from the room overlooks the valley and the Himalayan peaks, ensuring that every morning when you wake up, you are blessed by the “Bliss Giving” Goddess who is believed to be also called as Nanda Devi.
This Ranikhet cottage offers an elaborate spread of local and popular food cooked to everyone’s liking. Our in-house cook, is an expert in preparing a variety of food items including Indian and not-so-Indian dishes. Most of the food is prepared with the products sourced from the village. The cottage offers its guests all the comforts of a modern day home including a small library and a satellite TV connection.
Approx 60% of the total land space is left open for garden with open deck area for spending quite evenings under the night-sky. The garden has many fruit trees including the buransh flower, apricot, walnut, plum & lots of roses.
The cottage is constructed in a village called Machkali and is easily accessible by car. There is adequate space for parking for more than two cars.
On a clear day one can see almost 1200 kms of these magnificent mountains, from Himachal Pradesh on your left to Tibet on your right. In the center of the entire range and clearly visible almost throughout the year is India’s highest mountain – the Nanda Devi at an impressive height of over 25,700 feet above sea level. Eminent professionals from Delhi & NCR, Lucknow, Bangalore, Mumbai and Overseas have invested in land in this area. Some of these professionals include doctors, IT professionals, Lawyers, & Bankers.
